Being in a band is one of the greatest things that can ever happen to a person. You get to create with your best friends, travel, play shows where people are singing along, make friends all over the world, make records that, if you’re lucky, people want to hear, and most of all do what you love. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come without its sacrifices. Unless you’re one of the lucky few that can actually make a living off of music, you’re in it just because you love it. Most of the time, if you’re in a band that tours, you forfeit a career job that will offer you money and benefits just so you can get the time off to do what you love. Sadly we’re in an age where people don’t buy music as much as they used to. Gas is super expensive. You might need to choose to quit your job just to go on tour for a month out of the year. At times, your social life suffers, relationships get hard, BUT you do it because you love it. Every sacrifice is worth it, and there will never be a time that I don’t 100% believe that. Then there are days like today. Our dear friends in Three Man Cannon got all of their gear stolen, and I got a very sentimental amp stolen too. Matt from Three Man Cannon recorded everything Cayetana has ever done and has been a source of overwhelming support since day one. His band is one of our favorite bands from Philly and it truly pains me to see them go through this. I tried to suggest a Kickstarter or a GoFundMe, but they refused to take money from people. They lost thousands of dollars worth of gear today and it’s going to be very hard to start a band again. SO, PLEASE PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR ALL OF THIS STUFF. Check your local craigslist and pawn shop. The punk community is one of the best, if we can get this stuff back it would be amazing! Thanks for your time, please repost!
